Can a referee submit a reference by email?

Referees should submit their reference letters using the online referee form. Your personalised link to the form can be found in the automated email notification sent to you after the applicant initially registered you as a referee. Please ensure that you upload your reference letter in PDF format.

If you do not have access to an official email address and have been registered using a personal address, please explain the circumstances (eg retirement) in the reference letter.  

You can convert Word (or similar) documents into PDF format by selecting 'save as' from the file menu and selecting '.pdf' from the 'save as type' field. If the software you are using does not permit you to save the document as a PDF file, you may need to print a hard copy of the document and then scan it.
